I believe we are all genuine and unique individuals striving in life. My passion is to help people discover and develop their authentic and meaningful selves. I believe this can be done by identifying who we are in the present and reflecting on how we got there through the road maps of life we have created. I enjoy helping clients not only cope and adjust but to also build the courage to take risks in life. By building courage and confidence, they can manifest who they want to be and understand what makes a meaningful and successful social, romance, or family life for them.

I am a United States Army Veteran. I served in the Army for about 6 years, and I deployed to Afghanistan for about a year. When I got out, I had a hard time adjusting, and I was striving to find who I was again and my purpose. Counseling and working with veterans helped me refine my sense that I want to be able to do the same for others.

Humberto Diaz De Leon is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Family Strategies Counseling and Mediation, offering services to the Chicagoland Area.
