What is Your General Philosophy/Approach to Therapy?

“I’m fine…” I know that is your usual response, but are you really??

The truth is, we all face challenges. These challenges can be grief, stress, anxiety, intimacy and relationship issues, life transitions, childhood trauma, work problems, parenting concerns, or something else altogether. However, I believe that with the proper support, these “rough patches” can be steppingstones.

With that in mind, I aim to provide a safe, compassionate, judgment-free atmosphere for individuals, couples, and families of all ages and cultural backgrounds. In addition, I’d love to support you as you learn skills and discover strategies to navigate your rough patches, so you’ll finally be able to say, “I’m fine,” and mean it!

What are Some of Your Strengths as a Counselor?

One of my great strengths as a counselor is I break down information in a practical way. I aim to be easily understood and to offer advice that is applicable in real life. I am a natural teacher!

What are Some of Your Limitations?

As a counselor, I can only be as effective as my clients are committed. Without serious commitment to improving their own mental health, it is nearly impossible for clients to experience significant change.

Have You Ever Been to Therapy Yourself?

I do see a therapist myself! I often share with my clients that everyone can benefit from additional support. I believe therapists must experience what we ask of our clients each week.
